Web 2.0 is becoming a household, or should I say classroom name for many school districts. Oftentimes, the technology push is started by one or two brave teachers with vision and prowess.
I would like to use this blog to highlight and celebrate teachers for their tenacity and vision in the area of technology. Go forth, colleagues.
This is my first blog post...or introductory blog post. Stay tuned, there is more to come!
I think that the economic downturn has led to one positive outcome--the incorporation of free web tools into classrooms. I hope you'll have a wide range of experiences with tools that you'll be able to then use with your own students.
ReplyDeleteI also enjoy the plethora of free Web 2.0 software available for use. Teachers should require students to constantly learn how to use this tech as well and to implement it in assignments as much as possible. Web 2.0 software stimulates non linear thinking which really enriches the learning experience!
